Over the course of the 30 years I've been involved in the practice of clinical psychology, the breadth and scope of effective practice has grown enormously.  From pediatrics to geriatrics, from individuals to couples and families, the science has expanded and so has my practice.  Behavior modification, behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and now acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), all play a continuing role in different aspects of clinical practice.  The capacity to select, and as often is the case, adapt an appropriate modality, requires understanding that only time and experience can provide.

From its inception, my practice has been dedicated to providing focused, problem-centered treatment that was designed to be short-term, but lasting in its effect.  Sensitivity, compassion and where possible, humor, are staples of my clinical relationships.  Feel free to review one or all of the aspects of my practice along with the special topic papers that I've made available.  If I can be of help to you or someone you know, I can be contacted at:
